HI, I’M KRISTEN.
Child & Adolescent Therapist
As a parent myself I understand how overwhelming it can feel to see your child struggling to understand, express, and manage their emotions. I can help your child or teen learn to regulate their emotions and behaviors and restore calm to your family.
Mental health is as important as physical health, and the insight and skills gained in therapy will be utilized throughout your child’s lifetime.
My approach to therapy is integrative, primarily adopting techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, play therapy, and behavior modification.
I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and I am working toward certification in Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT).
I enjoy incorporating art into my sessions in an effort to foster creative expression and emotional release. Want to know more? I’d love to connect with you!
